running from god

Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Go to Nineveh, that great city, and proclaim [judgment] against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.” But Jonah ran away to Tarshish to escape from the presence of the Lord, and his duty as His prophet. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish [the most remote of the Phoenician trading cities]. So he paid the fare and went down into the ship to go with them to Tarshish away from the presence of the Lord.

Jonah 1:1-3

When was the last time you ran from God or are you still running? We all have a destiny and God wants us to walk it out not to question Him about His plan for us. If we are not careful we will go somewhere just to pay for ourselves, the wrong plan that God didn’t have for us. Jonah paid for his ticket to get out of the presence of God. To me to be out of God’s presence would be hell. God will stop us until we see that His way is the right way and He will help us get in it easy or hard which one you do want? He wants to change us as well as others around us. We can go kicking and screaming or humble ourselves to His will, what will it be today? Thanks to all who helped with the food we had plenty and they were so grateful. I pray God give back to you a hundred fold.
