Isaiah 43:18-19
New International Version
18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Do you feel you walk around hurting all the time? No matter what situation brought you here, the word of God helps us to move on. It says to forget. I don’t know about you but most of the time that can be hard to do. It says not to dwell on the past. Well someone sure helps me remember all of it. But God says He is doing something new. That means the old is passed away and we are becoming a new thing. Even with all the past and even if it was just a few days ago it is still behind us. So to move forward we have to see the streams in the wilderness. I think of a cool mountain stream where the water is so cold and clear. If you are tired and need a drink get it from the streams of life that Jesus has for you. Focus on what is ahead not what is behind.
Remember God is doing a new thing for all of us if we just call on Him.
