potters wheel

Jeremiah 18:3-8

New International Version

So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. Then the word of the Lord came to me. He said, “Can I not do with you, Israel, as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel. If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned.

Have you ever felt like the pot this potter has on the wheel? I know I have and some days it feels like I am being smashed and other days like I am going in circles. I always like to put my name in the scripture so that it becomes personal. I just don’t want to be spoiled, but sometimes God has to go back to where He started with me over and over again. But I catch on after a few times around the wheel. I am just the clay in the father’s hand, as long as I let Him mold and make me, I will be the vessel of honor for Him. I don’t want the trouble to come on my family that is coming to this world. So we are the ones that have to change so God can do what He wants to do for our family. I am truly praying for you all.
