2 Kings 2:1-3
When the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal. Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here; the Lord has sent me to Bethel.”
But Elisha said, “As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel. The company of the prophets at Bethel came out to Elisha and asked, “Do you know that the Lord is going to take your master from you today?”
What has tried to separate you from what you know in your heart God has for you? Well I think every time you try to pray, something comes to stop you from being able to just sit with Jesus. To begin with, Gilgal means separation. Elisha didn’t stop in Gilgal he kept to what he knew God had for him. He went to Bethel which means house of God. And even in the house of God they were telling him that God was going to take his friend away. Don’t allow anyone to stop you from getting what God has for you. Godly people may say things to you but always make sure what God has to say to you. God will lead you right when you are in tune with Him. Elijah knew he wanted something that day from God and he was determined to get it . Be so determined to go after God that nothing can stop you.
