JUDGE MUCH?

John 8:14-18

English Standard Version

14 Jesus answered, “Even if I do bear witness about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going.

15 You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one.

16 Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me.

17 In your Law it is written that the testimony of two people is true.

18 I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.”

How do we judge? The story right before this passage is about the adulterous woman and shows us the incredible forgiveness and compassion that Jesus has. As His disciples, we are to learn from His example and show the people in our lives the type of forgiveness and compassion that we hope Jesus will show us. There is no place for judgment in the life of a Christian. Jesus says we judge according to the flesh not the facts. So that means we don’t know everything. And to tell you the truth I don’t want to know everything even though my husband thinks I do. Ha hahaha 😝 just had to put that in there. Jesus is the light of the world and it only takes one sun in the sky to light the world don’t you think it only takes one Jesus to change us. When I stand before Jesus I want His righteous judgment not man’s judgment.

So be careful how you or I judge people or even God because we don’t know everything.
