Ephesians 2:20-22
New International Version
Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. In him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
What does your house look like? It might look good on the outside but when was the last time we did an inspection? Christ Jesus Himself being fitted together is growing into a holy temple in the Lord. Growing here in the Greek means to enlarge to give increase or to grow up. It’s a verb and it’s doing the action. Just like the ones of you that are getting your garden ready to start. God is making us ready for the kingdom of God. We need a good foundation. And it starts with the ground up. So we need to check what kind of soil we have . Are we hard or soft? You need a little of both. Just remember God will keep tilling your ground until He has us the way He wants us. There are days I just wish He would leave my ground alone. It really hurts when we look inside ourselves and see some of the things that need to be turned over to Him. As the old song goes God is still working on me.
