Colossians 3:12-14
New International Version
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
When was the last time you felt holy? Well I would have to say never. But with God He looks at us through Jesus, And we are holy in Him. That will be the only way I will ever be holy. I know without Christ I will never be clothed in compassion much less patience. I can’t have patience with people on the road driving. But God wants us to be able to put on all these virtues through Him, so we can be in unity with everyone. If we clothe ourselves in all of these we can walk the way Christ has asked us to walk, being able to forgive even the ones who have hurt you the most. I need compassion and so do you, so remember to give someone a little today they just might need it.
