trust, anyone

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.

Psalms 20:7-8

My question today would be what do you put your trust in? I don't want my trust to be in the things of this world and I sure don't want to do battle depending on them to bring me to the other side.

The word rendered chariots - רכב rekeb - means properly riding, and then a vehicle for "riding," a wagon, a chariot. Here it refers to the war-chariot, or the vehicle for carrying armed men into battle. When I am going into battle with my enemy I want to know that God is with me. Not the things in this world that I can see or that I have gotten. Because when I put my trust in God then my enemies are brought down to their knees and I can stand with my God strong and confident in Him.
