PURE THOUGHTS

Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
When was the last time you prayed about your words much less your thoughts? Sometimes I think we need to keep our mouths clean. Our words pure and our thoughts pure.
Biblical meditation is pondering the words of Scripture with a receptive heart, trusting the Holy Spirit to work in you through those words. Let's consider the key parts of this definition. Ponder: Biblical meditation is an act of “pondering.” This is different from simply reading or studying the Bible. It’s when we are asking God that all our thoughts be clean. That means even the things we think on about others have to be pure. Because the Lord is my Rock He is the one I stand on when I think I can’t make it and He will be the one to redeem me not anyone else. Your Redeemer lives in us today and He will fight all of our mind battles if we let Him.
Lord help my thoughts and actions be pure before you.
