Isaiah 58:8-9
New International Version
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness one will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I. “If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk.
Why is there always a two letter word “if”? I want God to go with me and also be my rearguard. The way some people drive they need Him in the front and the rear. He says when we call on Him He will be there “if” we do what? The meaning of yoke If you say that people are under the yoke of a bad thing or person, you mean they are forced to live in a difficult or unhappy state because of that thing or person. So I guess we need to help people be happy. And stop pointing fingers at everyone else. We need to just look at ourselves and then we can see what the problem really is. God is wanting to change us, and then God will work on them. Again we have to be careful what we speak, because when I cry out to Him I want Jesus to say here I am. The I am to show up when I need Him for me and others.
