2 Corinthians 12:9-10
New International Version
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
When was the last time you wanted a thorn in the flesh? I don’t know that I have ever wanted one. Paul said that God’s grace is sufficient. I am sorry, but when people insult me or I am having a hardship or I don’t feel like I am going to make it, that’s when God said when I am weak that I have the power of Christ. Notice Paul never said when I have it all together and everything is going great, he said when I am weak and going through it. I want All I can get of Christ, I just don’t want the hard times, but I guess they just go together.
