Haggai 1:5-8
New International Version
Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.” This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,” says the Lord.
I don’t think that I had thought of God thinking of my ways have you? But when you read this it’s like we are never full of food. We drink but we are always thirsty. And we work hard trying to get ahead and we can never put enough up because of that hole in the pocket. And then He says to give careful thought. Now how do you carefully think? He is talking about how much are we giving to God? God only take’s pleasure in our worship to Him. Do we give Him as much as we give everything else? Sometimes you just have to start and rebuild your worship to God. He really only wants you. God bless today.
