finishing the race

Luke 14:27-30

New International Version

And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower, won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, "this person began to build and wasn’t able to finish."

How are you finishing this race? Some days I wonder if I can finish. We have to remember it is a race and there is a cross to bear. We just have to be willing to prepare for the race we are on. A runner doesn’t just wake up and say I am going to run a marathon, he plans and he works out every day to be prepared for how to run. Well God wants us to be prepared at whatever the devil sends our way. If we are prepared then hopefully we will recognize his schemes, and not fall for all of them. When you build something don’t allow satan to tear it down. Go deep with God and no one or nothing can get to it. Stand strong and firm today with God remember who is for you not the one who will always be against you. Have a blessed weekend.
